What's in your birth kit?

This new bubba is 4 days late and I'm getting just a little bit over to help take my mind of things, I'm going to run you through what's in my birth kit and my plan of attack to deal with the unexpected!

I'm usually a last minute 'fly by the seat of your pants' kinda girl but that approach didn't work so well for me in my last labour, so this time around I've got a plan. Anna's birth experience taught me that anything can happen & will happen!

So, what's in my oily birth bag?

Diffuser blends: I have premixed the oils I want in my diffuser so Pete (or I) don't need to think about it when the time comes.

Early Labour: To keep me calm but focused - this blend is Frankincense, Clary Sage, Bergamot, Ylang Ylang & Orange.

Come on Baby!: To keep me energised and in the zone - this diffuser blend is for the transitional stage and PUSH TIME! Peppermint, Orange & Frankincense

Massage Oil: For Pete to use on me during labour - this blend is for during labour and will likely be used on my back and inner ankles (accupressure point). It has Clary Sage, Black Pepper, Geranium, Jasmine & Frankincense and FCO.

Cooling Mist: For a calming and cooling spritz when I need it. Made with Peppermint, Frank & Lavender, Witch Hazel and Water. I use this mist all the time in my normal life - its super refreshing!

Peri Mist - I'm praying for a VBAC so this spray will help to cool and soothe in the aftermath. Frank, Geranium, Helichrysum, Clary Sage, Aloe Vera & Witch Hazel.

Milk Support - To help postpartum with breastfeeding - Clary Sage, Fennel & Copaiba

Calm Roller: For before, during and after! Frankincense, Lavender, Copaiba, Sandalwood, Myrrh & Bergamot. These will help keep me calm + grounded throughout the whole thing.

Frankincense and Myrhh Vial: My mum is a hospital Chaplain so will be there soon after baby is born. She will bless and anoint the baby with this sacred blend.

Myrrh Vial: Another sacred oil which is also an umbilical cord essential.

Now all I have to do is wait.... Come on baby!
